Happy Thanksgiving: What Are You Grateful For In Your Career?

November 25, 2009 By: kellyharrington Category: career gratitude

I want to thank all of my clients, subscribers, and supporters a very Happy Thanksgiving!

As I reflect on my past and present, here are some of the things I am thankful for in my business and career:

  • Wonderful, committed, and passionate clients
  • Ability to do what I love and use my unique skills and talents
  • An opportunity to make a difference in the world
  • Flexibility and freedom for true ‘work-life balance’
  • The support of my family, friends, and colleagues to do what I really love

As you reflect on what you’re grateful for this year, consider things like…

  • What has your profession or business provided you and your family over the years?
  • Who have you worked with who has made a difference in your life/career?
  • How have you made an impact on your clients, your industry, your work place?
  • What are the things you get excited to do each week in your career?
  • What are some of the reasons your career matters in this world?

“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy — because we will always want to have something else or something more.”
- Brother David Steindl-Rast

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
- John F. Kennedy

“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”
-  Margaret Cousins

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”

- Albert Schweitzer

Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the holiday!

-Kelly
