By Amy Cheryl…
Are you:
- Going through a break up?
- Still hurting from a past break up?
- And/or confused whether your current relationship is the right one for you?
If the answer to any of these is ‘yes’, it can be difficult to focus on your career and perform at a high level because the heartache is taking over. And the holiday season is a time that can magnify the hurt, confusion, loneliness and overwhelm that you may be feeling.
Whether you are burying yourself in your work or being buried under your pity party, it is not serving you or your career. Where are you to turn? As a career-minded individual, you may be used to “doing it all on your own.” You may feel vulnerable to reach out for support. But I am here to tell you that the only way to heal… is to deal with what is real.
I know this may be hard to believe right now but heartache can actually be a time to crack open into something deeper in you that will catapult you in a whole new direction. This can be an opportunity; a gift. Yes, you heard me correctly… A gift. How appropriate to receive a gift during the holiday season!
My greatest growth into the woman I have become came as a result of a break up: every time. In that spirit, I would like to share with you 4 tips to assist you in setting your ship on a new direction with some tips you can put into place right away during this holiday season (and stay tuned for a bonus gift … or go there now to grab it now):
Tip #1:
Resist the urge when doing work at your computer to waste your valuable time checking up on your ex via facebook, googling, on-line dating sites, reading old emails or posting “hot” pictures of you on facebook in the attempts to “show him or her” how great you are without them. Not only will that suck up time, it can also set you back days to weeks to months…So not worth it. That adds up to quite a bit of lost time, energy, and even income (I go into this deeper in my upcoming free teleseminar, ‘From Break Up To Breakthrough’).
Instead: focus your energies on you and keep to the work tasks at hand during work hours (no, this does not mean to waste you precious personal time stalking him online either).
Tip #2
Set aside actual time every day to reflect and to grieve over the relationship. Journal writing can be very effective in venting out your feelings without the 2 cents of other people stuffing it back in.
Literally, set a timer and when time is up, finish your thought, get up, wash your face and go do something that fills you up. Which leads me into…
Tip #3
Add a new hobby that brings a smile to your face or an old one that you let go of that brings that skip back in your step. For me, it is singing and my love of dance. I love to pour my emotions into a song. Dancing gets me into my body and out of my head.
I recently took up cooking and it is such an accomplishment! It feels so great to nourish myself and prepare yummy and healthy eats. If you are an emotional eater this is a great hobby to take up. Be social and take a cooking class! Ladies, try a pole dancing class…meowww! Grab a bite to eat with the ladies afterwards and grow your social circle! For you ladies, activities like this also help us tap back into our feminine energies which we can shift out of when at work.
Tip #4
Seek objective emotional support from a qualified professional who can assist you in tapping into the greatest and grandest version of yourself just waiting to be discovered! As an expert who helps women move from break-ups to breakthroughs… I have found that the majority of my clientele are women either recently out of a relationship, contemplating getting out one, or finally realizing they never healed from a past one.
These amazing women are ready to reclaim their power, do things differently, make more empowering and loving choices and get to the bottom of what is really going on that is causing them such suffering. Interesting, because it was 11 years ago for me when a break up led me on my own healing journey that has been priceless and I am so grateful I invested and said ‘yes’ to myself.
Happy Holidays: Bonus Tip (and Gift!) #5:
Since it’s the giving season, I am giving you a gift so you to say yes to yourself. If there is something that has stirred in you from any of these words and you are ready or curious to explore further, I invite you to go here and register for my FULL SCHOLARSHIP teleclass, “From Break Up To Breakthrough”… My gift to you.
May you receive what serves you, let the rest go and as my teacher says, “Walk in Beauty”.
With love and in service,

Amy Cheryl

Couldn’t make the workshop Wednesday — have been so overwhelmed that didn’t find out until now — but if it’s available again, I’d like to.
