A Great Day for Your Career and Life Goals and Intentions!

Today, Friday, Sept. 18th, is the NEW MOON in VIRGO! It occurs at 2:45 pm EDST / 1:45 pm CDST / 11:45 am PDST. Since I believe in the power of intention and being clear on your goals, today could be a great day to write your goals, dreams, wishes, and intentions for your career or any part of your life! Why not try it??? If anything, just sitting down to do this will give you clarity on where you want to put your efforts for the month.
Here is the scoop on new moons:
It is very powerful to set intentions within 8 hours (after) the new moon occurs (see dates and times above). Within 48 hours after the new moon is still powerful.
- Write up to 10 intentions (any more than that and the energy gets kind of displaced).
- It is best to hand write them (vs type)
- Each month, the new moon is ruled by a different astrological sign which rules certain aspects of life. Writing intentions in these areas is very powerful but you can write your intentions in ANY area of your life.
- Write your intentions in the positive… In other words, state what you want (don’t say what you don’t want or may just get that!).
- Make sure the intention/wish resonates with you. Some people write wishes like, “I want to create…” and some people right something more in the present like, “I easily create…”
Virgo is ruled by:
- Physical Health, including: diet, exercise, establishing good health habits, weight control, healing, healers (nurses, doctors, chiropractors, etc.)
- Example intentions: “I easily find myself attracted to and consuming only those foods that are low fat, low calorie, and healthy for my body.” - or - “I easily attract, recognize, and begin working with those healers who can successfully help me restore my body to perfect health.”
- Work, including: jobs, work projects, tasks and errands, co-workers, structured routines
- Example intentions: “I easily find myself completing work projects with a minimum of stress and a maximum of efficiency.” – or - “I easily attract, recognize, and begin working at the right job for me.”
- Organization, including: orderly environments, handling details, efficiency and planning, paperwork, punctuality
- Example intentions: “I easily find myself creating neatness and order in my home.” – or - “The habit of being late is easily lifted from me.”
- Discrimination, including: fun, play, games, parties, vacations, recreational sports, taking risks for excitement analysis, critical thinking, focus, discernment
- Example intentions: “I easily find myself accurately discerning what is important to me and what is not.” – or - “i easily find myself focusing on, and appreciating, the opportunities that are being offered to me.”
- Service, including: willingness to adapt, practical helpfulness, purity of intent, conscientiousness
- Example intentions: “I consciously feel satisfaction from being of service to others in my work.” – or - “I easily find myself responding to disorder and confusion with an approach of practical helpfulness.”
- Synthesis, including: desire for perfection, processing, bringing order out of chaos, the ability to see how the pieces fit
- Example intentions: “I easily find myself aware of – and accepting of – good fortune when it comes to me.” – or - “I easily find myself processing my relationship with _______ in a way that leads to a total healing for me.”
- Excessive Perfectionism, including: worry, criticism, blame & judgment, workaholic tendencies
- Example intentions: “All self-defeating tendencies to perfectionism are easily lifted from me.” – or - “The compulsion to be ‘right’ is easily lifted from me.”
- In matters of restoring health, Virgo rules: bowels and intestines, constipation and diarrhea, digestion and assimilation, solar plexus
- Example intentions: “Total healing occurs easily in the area of my ________ (area ruled by Virgo).” – or – “I attract right information that leads to a total healing of my tendency to (body distress associated with Virgo).”
